Spend enough time in the Lake District and you learn what the landscape asks of you. Wet boots, windburn, sore feet after a long ridge walk, lips cracked by cold air at the summit. We started Secrets of the Lakes because the skincare we wanted — practical, protective, genuinely made for being outside — wasn't easy to find.
So we made our own. We develop and test every formula ourselves, refining each one until it earns its place. The result is a small, focused collection: not a shelf full of products you'll never use, but a handful you'll reach for every time you head out.
The "secrets" in our name are the small things that make a day in the hills better — the right cream in your pack, the balm in your pocket, the care that means you finish the walk as comfortably as you started it.
